| I was traveling to the north shore hoping to see the giant waves at the Bonzai Pipeline. Nature did not disappoint me that day! The waves were breaking above 30 feet. The surfers had to be towed out to a place just beyond the point where the big waves were braking to have a chance at a ride of their lifetime.
It takes a lot of courage and skill to challenge nature in this way. I was
privileged to be on the beach with my 500 mm mirror recording the surfer's skill and witnessing the beauty and power of the sea.
